Sound Bath Calendar Get the Thursday digest

Beginner-friendly

Last updated August 10, 2026.

These sessions are a good first sound bath: nothing is expected of you beyond lying down and resting, and most facilitators explain what will happen before they start, and you can always ask. You stay clothed and still throughout; there is no way to do it wrong.

Common questions

What is a beginner-friendly sound bath?

A sound bath is a session where you lie down, usually on a mat, while a facilitator plays instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, and chimes. Most run 45 to 75 minutes, and you stay clothed and still the whole time.

Do I need any experience?

No. There is nothing to learn or perform; you lie down and rest. Most facilitators explain what will happen before they start, and you can always ask, so a first sound bath is as easy as any other.
